YW Enterprising Women Post Training Services
Post Training Services are offered through Peer Lending Support groups. Peer Lending is a credit arrangement in which a small group of borrowers guarantee each other’s loans in lieu of providing collateral. Small business owners form business groups in which they make loan determinations for their group members based on the viability of that member’s business proposal and the character and commitment displayed by the prospective borrower. The traditional barriers that prevent small business owners from obtaining a loan such as poor credit, collateral, or lack of a full-time job do not necessarily apply to peer lending prospects.
Additional benefits of the post training services include, reduced isolation; increased motivation; peer pressure/peer assistance help to keep loans current; increased opportunities for networking; reduced organizational costs; increased participant empowerment; and easier delivery of technical business assistance and mentoring.
