CHILDREN & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION PROGRAM


The YWCA Children & Youth Development and Education Program is a PA KEYS Four Stars and NAEYC accredited program that provides the community with comprehensive, high-quality early education programs for children from six weeks old up to 12 years old.  This program is also licensed by the Department of Public Welfare and part of the PA Pre-K Counts Program .  Our staff is trained to assist in the development and education of all children enrolled in the programs.  We offer a safe, nurturing and educational environment.


TUITION: 
Private and subsidized tuition funding is accepted, including Child Care Partnerships/CCIS and Allegheny County Assistance. 

MEALS: 
Tuition includes two meals, prepared on site, and a snack. 

Transportation is provided to children attending local public, private, or parochial schools by the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh upon request from the parents.  We teach and enrich children in all subject areas:  Reading/Literacy, Math, Spelling, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music, Physical Education, English (Written and Verbal Communication), and Health.




EARLY CARE PROGRAM
Monday - Friday
7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
For children ages six weeks to five years old


SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM
Monday - Friday
For children ages five years  to 12 years old


Before School Program
7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.


After School Program
2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.


Full-Day Extended Care
This service is offered to children enrolled in the Before and/or After School
Program when school is not scheduled due to Pittsburgh Public School
In-Service Days or Holidays.
