YWCA Connects WomenYW Connects Women to Services is a place for women to easily find the information and services they need to manage daily life and crisis effectively. Make the YWCA your first stop to link to resources throughout the community and to apply for direct services available through the YWCA. All of the women supporting services of the YWCA are located at 305 Wood Street in downtown Pittsburgh.
Through the YW Connects Women to Services initiative access to the following services are provided:
Child Care services:
- Child Care Information Services (CCIS) and Children, Youth, and Families provides consumer information, resource and referral services, and subsidized child care services. YWCA manages a grant from Allegheny County Children, Youth, and Families to provide similar subsidy–related services to foster parents.
- Southwest Regional Key provides funds to child care providers to improve and expand child care services as well as to engage the community in a planning process that results in improved quality child care to support children entering school ready to learn.
- Child care locator service linking to nearly 3,250 childcare programs throughout Allegheny County. Keystone STARS ratings for each child care program and other child development resources are also available.
- Day care, after school program, teen services, and other programs for families: for nearby residents of the Homewood Brushton community

Access to Career Development programs such as the YW Enterprising Women program, a program to help women start successful small businesses. Financial management courses applications to enable you to access vital financial information that can help secure your future.
Family Savings Plan to enable your future home purchase, increase your education and start a business. Matching funds available for those meeting eligibility requirements.
Free and discounted legal services Your link to the YWCA referral professionals for women in need of legal advice and counsel. Training for legal professionals and volunteer opportunities are also available for the legal community.
Supported housing placement and services for low-income women and their families experiencing loss of their residence. Related programs include:
