JOB TITLE:  Finance, Development and Social Media Specialist


Reports to: Development Officer / Senior Director of Finance
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Job grade: 4
Department: Development and Finance

JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinate work of the Development and Communications Department in the areas of social networking communications, and event activity, including sponsorship solicitation, acknowledgment, and stewardship; volunteer management; and electronic and print event publications. Work with Finance Services on financial reconciliations, Financial Edge and Blackbaud.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree with two (2) years relevant experience and one (1) year staff/volunteer supervisory experience or Associates, Business or Technical Degree/ Certification with three (3) years relevant experience and (1) year supervisory.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher; Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop a plus.
• Strong Internet and social networking skills, including practical understanding of how to boost social media presence to target audiences.
• Superior customer service skills; professional and courteous manner when interacting with internal and external customers.
• Working knowledge of donor database software. DonorPro preferred
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Effective phone, group presentation, and email communication skills a must.
• Strong planning, coordinating, organizing and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong Budgeting and financial management
• Ability to productively manage diverse groups of volunteers.
• Curious and self-motivated with superior attention to quality and detail.
• Effective problem solving skills; ability to anticipate, isolate, and resolve unexpected challenges; recognition of need to inform/escalate with peers and leadership as appropriate.
• Confidential handling of sensitive and personal information.
• Ability to take advantage of opportunities that might positively impact YWCA performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social Networking Communications
• Coordinate agency social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter), reviewing draft content and ensuring regularly scheduled postings.
• Oversee opportunities for boosting social media presence and engagement.
• Coordinate up-to-date presence on the ywcapgh.org home page carousel and supporting pages, including event registrations.
• Coordinate event calendar implementation for the ywcapgh.org site, including procedures for capturing and incorporating association-wide activities.
• Ensure content integrity of the ywcapgh.org website.
• Coordinate opportunities for establishing new or improved website presence and/or features.

Event Coordination
• Research, design, and draft event sponsorship solicitations and acknowledgments; oversee sponsor benefit delivery and stewardship.
• Coordinate event electronic and print communications and publications, including social media, website carousel and registration pages, save-the-dates, invitations, programs, PowerPoints, and signage.
• Serve as point of contact for the association on venue set-up, seating, menu selection, and audio-visual equipment requirements.
• Coordinate event volunteer activity.

Financial Services
• Tracking supply inventory
• Make and track credit card expenditures and coding for Senior Leadership
• Managing agency leases and contracts
• Manages or assists in special projects
• Assists with report preparation and year end process
• Assists with daily banking duties including, but not limited to, reconciliation of cash to deposit as needed
• Creates and maintains spreadsheets and reports; including services provided to the YWCA (phone leases, copiers, etc)
• Accounts with accounts payable process as needed
• Department file maintenance and organization

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 15 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, or walk for various lengths of time throughout the day.
• Ability to utilize computer equipment to complete daily work responsibilities.
• Ability to operate fax/copy machines, telephone, calculator and general office equipment on a daily basis.
• Inside work in an office environment with no exposure to weather conditions.
• Available to work 7 hours per day and/or 35 hours per week or more as necessary to meet Association objectives.
• Ability to travel for meetings, agency trainings and other miscellaneous work assignments within or outside of Allegheny County.
