Program Services Update

In accordance with Governor Wolf’s directive to shelter-in-place until May 8th, our Wood Street office, Homewood-Brushton location with childcare services, and Pre-K Counts classroom at Propel Braddock Hills classroom are currently closed. Our staff is working remotely to continue to provide important services to our community.

Due to the Governor’s directive, our Free Tax Preparation services are currently on hold. However, the state and federal tax deadlines have both been extended until July 15. In addition, households with simple returns can file their taxes for free at www.myfreetaxes.com.

Following Governor Wolf’s directive, YWCA Greater Pittsburgh’s operations remain largely virtual.  As we adapt to our modified schedule, appointments are required.  Our Homewood-Brushton Early Child Development Center is open, with special precautions in place to limit the spread of COVID-19. Our Pre-K Counts classrooms in Homewood and Braddock Hills will open in the fall. Click here to view our family welcome packet for more information.
